For women who feel out of control & out of balance in their food & health goals…

ReAL

You’re Exhausted By The

Constant Struggle With Food

But Also Really Want To Feel Confident In Your Body

talk

I just said the quiet part out loud for so many women.

You know you need to heal your relationship with food

but you also don’t want to admit you’re struggling to love the body you have now.

On top of it… it’s terrifying to think that healing your relationship with food means letting go of the hope for a different body.

Yes… It’s exhausting to try to navigate the ups and downs of your relationship with food and exercise and body image.

You’re not just trying to avoid extremes—you’re trying to find a sense of balance when everything feels chaotic and out of control.

Whether it’s:

  • Emotional eating

    one day

  • Skipping meals

    the next

  • Binging when you finally get a

    moment alone

  • Oscillating between trying to practice self-love but secretly loathing your body

  • Emotional eating one day

  • Skipping meals the next

  • Binging when you finally get a moment alone

  • Oscillating between trying to practice self-love but secretly loathing your body

… it’s hard to know how to find your footing.

Internet algorithms, fitness trends, diet culture and yes… even well-meaning advice from the medical community (who also happen to be deeply influenced by diet culture), can leave you feeling like you’re being pulled in a million directions.

It’s no wonder you feel lost and overwhelmed

trying to find a sense of stability in a world that’s constantly pushing you towards the next “solution”.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re the only one who can’t seem to find balance, I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone—many women come to me after trying all the common solutions that our society tells us to do.

The Stuff Most Women

(Including Myself) Have Tried

Common Solution #1:

Rigid Meal Plans

Just believe that following a strict meal plan will solve your eating issues!

  • Follow this perfectly designed meal plan! Just stick to these rules, and you’ll never have to worry about food again. Every meal is laid out for you—just follow the guidelines, and you’ll be in control.

but then...

Life happens, and you find yourself veering off the plan. One missed meal or unplanned snack, and suddenly the whole thing feels like a failure. Guilt sets in, and before you know it, the plan is abandoned.

Start again

next week!

But the cycle repeats itself, leaving you feeling even more

frustrated and convinced that you can’t trust yourself around food.

Common Solution #2:

Self-Imposed Food Rules

Creating a set of personal rules around food, hoping it will bring structure.

  • Set clear food rules! No eating after 7 PM, no sugar, only whole foods. These rules will keep you disciplined and on track, ensuring you stay in control of your eating.

but soon...

the rules start to feel restrictive and impossible to maintain. Stress hits, and suddenly those rules go out the window. You break one, then another, and the guilt piles up.

Tighten the rules next time!

But the stricter the rules, the harder they are to follow, leading to

more binges

and deeper feelings of failure.

Common Solution #3:

Exercise as a

Compensatory Tool

Using exercise to “earn” food or make up for overeating.

  • Burn those calories! Ate a little too much?

Just work it off with an intense workout. The more you sweat, the more in control you’ll feel.

But then…

exercise starts to feel like punishment. You push too hard, get burnt out, or maybe even injured. When you can’t keep up, you skip a workout, and the guilt creeps in.

Double up next time!

But now exercise is something you dread, and you find yourself avoiding it altogether, which only leads to more guilt and less consistency.

Common Solution #4:

“All-or-Nothing” Dieting

Swinging between strict dieting and completely giving up…

  • Go all-in with the latest diet! Cut out carbs, sugar, or entire food groups. This time, you’ll stick to it and finally see the results you’ve been chasing.

but eventually...

The deprivation kicks in, and you find yourself craving everything you’ve been avoiding. One slip, and it’s all over—next thing you know, you’re binging on everything you’ve missed.

Start fresh

on Monday!

But each new attempt feels harder, and the constant back-and-forth leaves you feeling even more out of control.

Common Solution #5:

“Clean Eating”

Perfection

Trying to eat perfectly clean to control your relationship with food.

  • Eat only clean foods! Avoid anything processed, sugary, or “unnatural.” Keep it pure, and you’ll stay healthy and in control.

but soon...

You find yourself stressing over every meal, worried it’s not “clean” enough. Social events become a nightmare, and the pressure to eat perfectly makes food more of a stressor than a joy.

Try harder to

be perfect!

But the more you strive for perfection, the more you feel like you’re failing, leading to anxiety and a more disordered relationship with food.

Common Solution #6:

Tracking &

Monitoring Everything

Maybe you don’t follow a fad diet, but you rely on apps, calorie counting, and journals to keep food and exercise in check.

  • Track every calorie, macro, and step! Use apps and charts to log every bite you take and every move you make. The more data, the more control, right?

but then...

You find yourself obsessively checking your numbers, feeling anxious if you go over or under. The constant monitoring starts to feel like a full-time job.

It’s so hard

To listen to your body when you’re so focused on the numbers and hitting targets.

Lastly…

Common Solution #7:

Turning To Doctors

& Pharma

The medical community isn’t all bad or all extreme. But there is a lot to consider when it comes to taking medication for issues like food addiction and obesity, and wouldn’t it be nice if there were options that didn’t include a lifelong need for drugs?

“What about intuitive eating?”

Even if you’ve already been-there-done-that with the above strategies, some of you have also tried the intuitive eating route and not seen success. It turned into a free-for-all diet that led to more overeating and more guilt.

And you wonder why you’re tired and end up at the bottom of a tub of Cherry Garcia in front of Suits?

Of course you’re confused, exhausted, and afraid to try again!

For most of us, it’s a merry-go-round of proposed solutions that end up perpetuating the all-or-nothing thinking, perfectionism, guilt, obsession, and extremes we’re trying to avoid.

You fear that you are SOMEHOW the ONLY ONE for whom breakthrough is not possible.

I promise you… breakthrough is possible.

There is a better, freer, and permanent way to find peace with food and heal your body and mind from the toxic extremes that are stealing your life away...

I know this because I was there too.

My name is Jessi

and I get where you are.

I lived in this cycle for a decade.

I would often wind up elbow-deep in a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and be totally lost on how to stop. Or if there was a bag of chips in my pantry, I would mentally obsess until I snapped and binged the entire thing. And then I would hide the wrappers at the bottom of the trash can to avoid getting caught.

Food was my go-to when I felt stressed or overwhelmed, I used it to numb, distract and try to find some temporary relief from my own mental chaos.

I spent years skipping meals, trying to ‘save’ calories, only to feel like I was spiraling out of control when I finally ate.

And I was absolutely terrified by the idea of body acceptance, because what I really wanted was to lose weight.

This roller coaster from hell wore me out and I got to a breaking point where I just couldn’t take it anymore.

The perk of hitting rock-bottom?

I finally learned how to eat like a normal person

like my husband who naturally loses interest in food when he’s full, enjoys dessert on occasion, but sometimes isn’t in the mood and never feels the urge to binge.

I learned that I can care about my health, eat nutritious meals, exercise and also enjoy ice cream and chips without immense guilt, shame or that really obnoxious feeling that once I start, I’ve blown it and HAVE to eat it all.

I learned why everything I was trying to do to get myself to stop binge and emotional eating was actually making things worse and I found a way out of what I refer to as, the mental hell hole!

And I haven’t felt an urge or desire to binge or overeat since.

I have spent the last six years helping women break free from the cycle of binge and emotional eating. To date, I have helped over 2000 clients in healing their relationships with food and their bodies, as a Mind-Body Eating Recovery Coach through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.

I’d like to show you exactly how

I broke free for myself…

But there is one thing we have to agree on first…

A lack of willpower and motivation is not the problem.

When we “know better” but don’t “do better”, it’s very easy to spiral into shame and guilt and blame ourselves for not having the self-control to avoid emotional eating or binging.

There is a fundamental misunderstanding with how the brain works and what is actually happening inside your mind during a binge.

Our brains are wired to prioritize survival above all else. Secondarily, we are wired to move towards pleasure and away from pain.

When we feel discomfort and use food as temporary relief from that discomfort, we create what’s called a neural pathway. Think of a well worn path in the woods. The more we walk the path, the more packed down the brush and grass and leaves become. This cycle happens in the brain as well.

As we anticipate the temporary reward from food when we start to feel painful feelings, there is an overwhelming physical and emotional urge to binge or overeat.

Binge

Binge eating is a very normal and natural reaction to deprivation.

The body is not broken when you feel this urge in anticipation of restriction or during it.

emotional

Emotional eating is slightly different because it’s driven by the

need to soothe or distract from uncomfortable feelings.  It becomes a process of filling an emotional void or managing difficult emotions.

But in both these situations, the brain sees food as a primary way to feel better.

And over time, it prioritizes food as the quick fix to these problems.

Just like an itch that needs to be scratched, it’s incredibly difficult to stop these urges

UNLESS we have strategic techniques that support the body to move through an urge without repeating the cycle.

Once we have these techniques, we can let the urge pass, and by not repeating the cycle, over time the neural pathway dissipates and fades

The news gets even better! Because the brain has neuroplasticity. That means it can make new pathways at any time. So as the old ones fade, we can literally rewire the brain with new paths, and effectively eliminate the binge/overeat cycle permanently.

Knowing that it’s possible to create new, healthier habits through intentional practice and repetition is empowering and brings momentum and hope in the food recovery process.

Imagine getting to the place where you have no urges to overeat or binge… period.

So what were the steps I took?

01

NERVOUS SYSTEM SAFETY

First, I created a foundation of safety for my nervous system and brain.

I knew I had to get my brain out of survival mode and that meant calming the body. This way I could stop reacting from a place of overwhelm and impulse, and instead make choices that stick. This was the most important (and first) step. I knew I couldn’t miss it.

02

EMOTIONAL COPING

I mastered emotional coping by uncovering root causes & developed “in the moment” techniques to disrupt the urge to binge.

Slapping a bandaid on emotional eating wasn’t going to work. I had to get to the root of why I was turning to food, learn how to deal with those feelings differently, and practice tools to curb cravings and cut off those urges in the moment.

03

FOOD REWIRING

Next, I had to rewire my brain and redefine my relationship with food.

I knew it wasn’t just about the food, it was also how I felt and thought about food. By rewiring my brain, I was able to break the guilt-shame-binge cycle, and reconnect with my body’s natural cues. It then led to a balanced empowered relationship with eating.

04

BODY IMAGE BELIEFS

I broke through body image blocks & cultivated unshakeable confidence.

I learned how to tie my worth to something other than body size, despite society telling me otherwise. I challenged those toxic ideals and built an identity that was beyond my body.

05

JOYFUL FITNESS

I built joyful fitness habits free and detached from diet culture.

I made movement feel good for me vs. feeling like a punishment. I ditched diet culture and focused on habits that made me feel alive (and would last).

After 10 years of this, I realized that this TRULY was the only complete and holistic way to ditch the diets, feel good around food, and put to bed binge and emotional eating…

forever.

Many students come to me for help because they want to break free like I have and have tried everything to no avail.

That’s Why I Created….

A 4-Month Comprehensive Food Recovery Program to Help You Ditch The Food Drama & Put To Bed Binge and Emotional Eating—For Good.

Picture a place where you can finally break free from binge and emotional eating without the side of guilt. A place where rebuilding your self-confidence is totally doable, and having health and fitness goals isn’t something to feel weird about. No judgment, no diet culture BS.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

About Food Freedom Online Program

I have foods I cannot eat (due to health and or religious reasons). Will this work?

Absolutely! The Food Freedom Online Program is designed to help you rebuild a positive relationship with food while respecting your unique dietary needs and preferences. Whether due to health, allergies, or religious beliefs, you’ll learn how to navigate your food choices with confidence and without guilt, all while following the principles of intuitive and mindful eating.

I am on a semi-glutide (i.e. Ozempic, Monjouro, etc.). How does this program work when on medication like this?

The Food Freedom Online Program focuses on the psychological and behavioral aspects of eating, which can complement any medical treatment you're currently undergoing. While the program doesn't directly address medication, it equips you with tools and strategies to manage your relationship with food, so you can feel more in control and less reliant on external factors. As always, consult with your healthcare provider to ensure this program aligns with your medical needs.

I think that being “overweight” is bad for my health and don’t want to join a program that celebrates that. Is the Food Freedom Online Program like this?

We recognize that concerns about weight and health are deeply personal. Our focus is on helping you cultivate a balanced relationship with food and your body. Guided by the insights shared in Dr. Maggie Landes' training, we also highlight that true health is multidimensional, encompassing not just physical but also mental and emotional well-being. Our goal is to guide you toward a state of well-being that feels authentic and sustainable for you, without the pressure of fitting into a one-size-fits-all mold.

I am not interested in any program that tells me I have to lose weight to be healthy. Does FFOP promote weight loss?

No, the Food Freedom Online Program prioritizes helping you cultivate a healthy relationship with food and your body, rather than focusing on weight loss as the primary measure of health. Our philosophy centers around body autonomy, meaning you have the freedom to pursue your health goals without pressure to conform to societal standards of weight or appearance. We prioritize mental and emotional well-being, sustainable habits, and intuitive eating.

Should I lose the weight I need first, and then join FFOP?

It’s a common misconception that you need to lose weight before focusing on food freedom. The truth is, healing your relationship with food is essential for sustainable health, regardless of where you are on your weight journey. The Food Freedom Online Program helps you break free from the cycle of dieting and restriction, so you can maintain a healthy weight naturally, without the emotional and physical toll of constant dieting.

Do I have to table the desire to lose weight if I do this? One of the reasons I’ve not tried these programs is because I cannot accept my body at this size and want to eventually lose some weight.

You don’t need to give up your desire to lose weight, but we encourage you to shift your focus during the program. The Food Freedom Online Program is all about healing your relationship with food and your body first. With a healthy, balanced mindset, you’ll be able to make decisions about your body that feel right for you—without guilt or pressure. We fully support your autonomy and respect your goals, and there’s no shame in wanting to lose weight. Our priority is helping you create a solid foundation for long-term, sustainable change and that starts with healing your relationship with food.

I’ve tried intuitive eating and ending up just gaining weight and overeating. I don’t want another program like this. Is FFOP just intuitive eating?

Some women might have tried intuitive eating but struggled because they didn’t have the proper guidance or support so it felt like an out-of-control, free-for-all diet. They may have misunderstood intuitive eating as simply eating whatever they want whenever they want, without addressing the underlying emotional or physiological needs. Without a framework for understanding how to regulate the nervous system,  understand your body’s cues, resolve emotional triggers, and create habits around fitness that leave you feeling empowered and safe, intuitive eating can feel confusing and lead to overeating or continued guilt. FFOP is not a free-for-all diet, but instead a proprietary and holistic approach to food recovery.

I'm busy! How much time does this take?

We use an approach known as 'minimum effective dose' - we give you everything you need and none of the busy work as we know most individuals are busy! We recommend 1 session a day, 5x weekly which would equate to about 25 minutes per day and 125 minutes per week.

Will this help me lose weight?

This is not a weight loss course, but rather a program designed to help you reconnect with your body and develop a healthier relationship with food. We celebrate full body autonomy, meaning you have the freedom to pursue the goals that feel right for you. The focus of this program is on gaining the skills to become an intuitive eater, free from binge, emotional, and overeating.

Do I have to follow a meal plan?

Absolutely not. We teach how to find balance with food through a series of mental strategies to rewire the impulsive tendencies that lead to overeating and binge eating. We teach you how to listen to your body's natural hunger, fullness, and satiety cues and eat in a way that honors them.

Can I purchase this now and start later?

We recommend that you get started right away on the course work. The modules, video/audio training, and downloadable integration homework are available to you immediately. You have four months to complete the curriculum. We do this to encourage students to make a commitment to themselves.

Do I have lifetime access?

No, you'll receive 4 months access to the online course platform (videos/audios), 4 months access to the coaching & community features and the ability to download and keep your comprehensive Food Freedom Workbook PDF for life. If you want to continue after the four months (many women do), we have affordable alumni pricing to continue.

This is for you if:

  • You want someone to tell you what to do daily

  • You are tired, overwhelmed & don't want to keep going in circles

  • You are ready to end the fight with food and your body forever!

This is NOT for you if:

  • You’re diagnosed with an eating disorder like anorexia or bulimia

  • You’re actively dieting (or in a caloric restriction)

  • You are unable to give time & attention to the process for the next 16 weeks

We’re in a “get fixed quick” culture these days, but the truth is, the nervous system doesn’t like fast change.

Steady gradual evolution is more manageable for the body and mind. That’s why we do daily step by step help for a full 16 weeks to ensure that the new habits STICK.

If you’ve been battling emotional and binge eating for years, hating yourself and your body, 16 weeks is a blink of an eye by comparison.

You deserve to give yourself the gift of peace. With your newfound peace comes health, wellness, and joy.

It’s time that you feel satisfied:

Satisfied with food

Satisfied with your body

Satisfied with your LIFE

Every human being deserves that feeling of satisfaction, every day – when you sit down to meals, put on a dress for date night, or go into a new job interview knowing you did your best.

You’ve been living in a level of dissatisfaction for too long and it’s eating away at your life and heart and joy. Let’s change that… together.

There is no bad habit that will wreck your health as much as the... shame, guilt, stigma, isolation, and hopelessness that you are carrying.

Imagine yourself one year from now –

even six months –

how it will feel to drop all that emotional baggage and fully re-enter your life?

There is no bad habit that will wreck your health as much as the... shame, guilt, stigma, isolation, and hopelessness that you are carrying.

Imagine yourself one year from now – even six months –

When it’s time to make a change, adding is easier than subtracting. So instead of thinking of all the things you should take away, think about simply ADDING The Food Freedom Online Program to your life.

It’s a choice thousands of women have made with no regrets!

Can’t wait to see you on the inside!
